Norstatpanel operates online: i.e. the surveys are all held exclusively over the internet on the Norstatpanel website. As a member of this panel, you can take part in a survey anywhere you like as long as there is an internet link and you have logged in using your email and password. This is how it works: after we have invited you by e-mail to take part in a survey, just click at the survey link in the email, complete the questionnaire and send it off. Your account will be credited with the reward automatically after a few days.

How often you are invited to surveys will vary a lot, so it is hard to give a general answer to this question. This is because participants for each survey are chosen randomly among those in the target group, so invites may come at irregular intervals.

The length of the survey will be shown in the survey invitation; our surveys usually take between 1 and 20 minutes. However, there are longer surveys in which you should rate a planned TV show or a magazine for example. Of course, you will also receive a corresponding amount of Norstat Coins in this case.

In the invitation-mail to a new survey as well as in your personal member area, the reward for participation in a survey (Norstat Coins) will be announced. The Norstat Coins you receive for your participation will be credited to your personal account automatically.

Participants who abort a survey do not receive a reward (Norstat Coins, Stars or lottery tickets), as we cannot analyse incomplete questionnaires. The reward for completing a questionnaire can be found in the invitation mail for the survey and in your personal member area. Norstat Coins are only awarded for a completed questionnaire. For some studies a target group is specified in advance, but we cannot determine from your basic data whether you fit the target group. It is sometimes the case that you are not part of the target group for a survey, even though you received an e-mail invitation. We establish whether a participant fits the target group by asking filter questions during the questionnaire. If you do not qualify for the target group, the survey ends prematurely. A separate message informs you of this.

Using your answers from your profile, we are trying to invite you to those studies where we believe you will be in the target group.
In some studies the target group requested by our customers is so specific that we have to ask additional questions in order to find the exact people who meet all of the criteria. For example, a motorbike dealer conducting a study on motorbikes has no interest in people who do not have a motorbike license. This is the reason that In some cases you may be invited to take part in a survey, but based on the criteria may not be able to complete it in the end.

In some surveys, we only need a certain number of participants. Once this limit is reached, the survey is closed and it is no longer possible to participate. However, the next survey will soon be on its way to your inbox!

In the surveys themselves you will usually be asked again for your age, gender, place of residence, possibly your income, etc. On the one hand this aids identification, so that we know the person filling in the survey is the same person who registered with us. On the other hand, we may only use the data you have entered in your profile to select surveys and may not pass it on to our customers.
Membership

Participation in Norstatpanel is only possible upon invitation. For methodological research reasons, we can not allow self-registration of members. Email lists, newsletters and online advertising at reputable Web sites provide specific criteria, enabling us to select just the members we need.
Please understand that we cannot accept the application of all interested persons. Additional conditions for participating in Norstatpanel are:- you have to be at least 14 years old- you need a residential address and a bank account in Europe

Register yourself as a member of Norstatpanel and receive e-mail invitations to participate in market research on the web as well as invitations to focus groups and depth interviews.
In the emails that we send you, there is a link to the survey that you are invited to participate in. You decide whether you want to answer the survey, by becoming a member, you do not have to answer any survey you do not want to.
When it comes to group discussions and in-depth interviews, you will receive an email containing questions from us, if the topic interests you, you can send back your answers via email. You will then be contacted by phone by one of our staff if you are current as participants to the call.

Your username is the same as your email address that you registered with on Norstatpanel, unless you have changed this in your profile. If you have lost your user name, send us a request via the support, and we will help you.

You can change your password and other personal data on the "My account" page.
Select "Change password", you will need to enter your current password and the new password.

Your address has changed, you are married and your name has changed or you just have a new email address?
No problem, just login and go to "My Account". You can make the changes there.

Membership with Norstatpanel is completely voluntary and non-binding. You can therefore cancel your membership at any time. When you are logged into the member area you can confirm the termination under the "My details" link.
Please note: When you cancel your membership your data, including the Norstat Coins you have earned so far will be deleted! Furthermore, it is then no longer possible to restart a (new) membership.
Rewards and payment

There are several different options for redemption, demanding a different amount of Norstat Coins. The most inexpensive option is giving a donation to forest planting, at costs as low as 5 Norstat Coins. You can also buy gift vouchers, of different value.
As soon as you have earned enough Norstatcoins to buy the product you want, you can do so through our home page. Once you are logged on, you find all the available options under the Shop tab.

About Gift cards -
In the vast majority of surveys, the Norstat coins you receive for a survey are transferred to your account immediately after the questionnaire is completed. In some rare cases the Norstat Coins will be transferred to members only after the survey finishes, and the duration of the survey period may vary. There may also be some rare cases where technical difficulties delay the transfer of Norstat Coins. If you did not receive Norstat Coins for a survey you completed and are owed Norstat Coins for, we recommend giving it a couple of days - most often you will then see the Norstat Coins appear in your account.
If after a few days you still have not received any Norstat Coints, feel free to contact us using the form below and we will help you.
Please note that if you start but do not complete a survey, your response is counted as an incomplete, and unfortunately no Norstat Coins can be rewarded for incomplete surveys.
Loyalty program, Stars and lottery tickets

The loyalty program is about collecting stars to advance to new levels, for example by moving from Silver to Gold. For each level, you will receive new and exciting benefits. You can find out more about the loyalty program and its benefits here:

The speedometer shows how active you are this month. For example, if you fill in all surveys from one month, you will get an activity level of 100%. Such high activity is rewarded with 10,000 stars. Maintaining a high activity level is the fastest way to collect stars and improve your level. You will also be rewarded with an activity level of 50% and 75%, but you will receive fewer stars here. Information about stars and the various levels can be found on the "Loyalty program" page.
In some cases, the calculation of your activity level varies. This happens, for example, if you start a survey at the beginning of September, but the invitation was sent at the end of August. This survey will be taken into account for your activity level in August.

From time to time we are recruiting new members. This usually happens once or twice a year. We will let you know by e-mail the next time we are running a recruit a friend - campaign. As part of such a campaign, you also have the opportunity to earn Norstat Coins, which you can use in the Norstat store.

The activity calculation from previous month is done automatically at the beginning of the following month. This can only be completed if we know that you no longer have open surveys. Therefore it may take a few days before you receive the stars for the previous month.

Stars are forever! They do not expire, and your star balance will always only increase for as long as you remain a member.

In every survey you participate, you collect tickets. The number of tickets collected per survey depend on your membership level. You can view the tickets you have already received in the loyalty program section at any time. Increase your chances of winning by participating in more surveys and advancing to new levels by collecting stars. Each quarter, we draw a winner which we then send on holiday. In rare cases, stars and tickets may not be awarded immediately after a survey is completed. The system updates them daily at 5 pm. If you are still missing stars or tickets, please contact our support; we will be happy to check what's going on.

As part of the loyalty program you can collect badges to commemorate your achievements as a member. Badges are available from Silver level and up. All badges are connected to actions you do as a member, as for example making a donation. Only actions performed once a specific badge is available to you will count towards achieving that badge. If you for example make a donation before the donator badge is visible, you still have to make a new donation once the badge is available to you, in order to get the donator badge.
Technical help

When you download the app, a single use code is e-mailed to the address you are registered with in the panel. The single use code is used to confirm that you are a panel member.
Note that in some instances there may be a delay of up to 24 hours (especially right after registration) before the e-mail arrives in your in basket.
Not all of our surveys can be shown in the app, for instance because we need to show content or question types that do not work well on a mobile screen. Therefore, not every survey may show up in the app, and we are still going to be sending out surveys via e-mail.

Most likely this is related to settings in your e-mail account. Below, you can find a link to a checklist you can go through if such errors happen. -
