All visits to this website and the implementation of these Terms shall be governed by UK or Irish law.

Acceptance of Terms

By “Accepting” these Terms during part of the registration process and/or by participating in Norstatpanel opportunities, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Should you not wish to accept these Terms, you must cease the registration process immediately and/or cease participation in any Norstatpanel opportunities. 

We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time. Any material changes to these Terms will be posted on this website and the “updated” date will be revised accordingly. You are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the most recent update of these Terms. 

Membership of Norstatpanel, use of this website or any other technology used to interact with Norstatpanel systems, is governed by these Terms, which are publicly accessible on this website and which are also explicitly accepted at the point of registering a new account with Norstatpanel. Continued membership of Norstatpanel reflects continued acceptance of the prevailing Terms at all times. Should a Norstatpanel member no longer accept and agree to these Terms, they are required to unsubscribe their Norstatpanel account using the unsubscribe mechanism provided via the website or using the link in the footer of any Norstatpanel communication sent to them at their registered email address.

Terms of Membership

Anyone who is 16 years of age or above, resident in the country to of the panel they signed up to, and has access to the internet may become a member of Norstatpanel. Membership is free and non-binding and may be cancelled at any time.

Every member may only have one Norstatpanel account. The creation of multiple Norstatpanel accounts, whether as an attempt to of fraud or otherwise, or by providing inaccurate information in order to earn additional rewards, will result in the termination of all accounts associated with such activity. Any attempt to create a Norstatpanel account using data pertaining to a 3rd party, irrespective of the relationship with or consent obtained from that 3rd party, will result in the termination of all accounts associated with such activity. We will also engage, at our discretion, measures to prevent further access to Norstatpanel by any individuals found to be contravening these Terms. 

To ensure compliance with eligibility requirements, Norstatpanel may require users to verify their residency status through an independent third-party verification service. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you consent to the collection, processing, and sharing of relevant personal information with such service providers solely for the purpose of confirming your residency. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during this process and acknowledge that failure to successfully verify your residency may result in restricted access to certain services or features. We reserve the right to update or change the verification requirements at our discretion, in accordance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Norstatpanel reserves the right to deny membership without any requirement to justify such a denial.

Terms of Participation

Profile and Account

In return for Norstatpanel granting you access to survey opportunities and activities, you agree to:

• Provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself at the point of registration.
• Complete and maintain your personal details and membership profile so as to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.
• Provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself while participating in Norstatpanel survey opportunities and activities.

To keep surveys relevant to you,  your country of residence and location within that country are a very important part of the information we require.

The integrity of Norstatpanel and the data that we collect is underpinned by the honesty of all users of this website and the information they provide within their Norstatpanel accounts and in response to survey questions presented to them. Any member who deliberately provides false information, for whatever reason, will have their Norstatpanel account terminated immediately.

Invitations

You acknowledge that if you register as a Norstatpanel Member, it is integral to your participation that we are able to send you emails and notifications inviting you to participate in any offered surveys and activities.

Acceptable Use and Participation

Participation in Norstatpanel survey opportunities and activities may involve you submitting responses and other content to us (“User Content”) which may be visible to our staff and/or our clients. 

You acknowledge that User Content provided by you is your sole responsibility. This means that you, and not Norstat, are entirely responsible for all User Content you upload, post, link to, email or otherwise transmit via your use of the Norstatpanel website or your participation in any of the Norstatpanel survey opportunities and/or activities.

With respect to all User Content you elect to transmit to us, you confirm that they are your own ideas and linguistic expressions, unless explicitly noted otherwise.

You must not provide User Content that: 

• Is unlawful, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, suggestive, harassing, threatening, invasive of privacy or public rights, abusive, inflammatory, false, inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent or impersonates/misrepresents an affiliation with any person or entity; 
• Would violate an obligation of confidentiality or the rights of any person or entity, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any local, national, or international law; 
• May infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual or proprietary right of any person or entity; 
• Is sourced from other websites or sources, or input generated by artificial intelligence systems or technologies; 
• Contains any viruses, corrupted data or other harmful, disruptive, or destructive files or information; or 
• In the sole judgment of Norstat, is objectionable, does not reflect your good faith efforts to be responsive to survey or market research questions, or which may expose Norstat or its clients or suppliers to liability of any type.

Rewards

Members receive Norstat Coins as remuneration for taking part in surveys. The remuneration partly depends on the duration of the survey. Norstatpanel only rewards completed surveys. Participants who abort a survey do not receive a reward, as incomplete questionnaires cannot be analysed.

Any coins or other rewards earned as a result of being a member of Norstatpanel, whether they be earned as a result of taking part in research tasks, administered as prizes, or however so earned, shall not be transferrable to any 3rd-party and will only be payable to the registered Norstatpanel member.

Any withdrawals of coins accrued by a Norstatpanel member will be via the methods made available within this website, and subject to the reward balance being above the published redemption threshold. Both the withdrawal methods and the redemption threshold may be subject to change without prior notification. No other means of withdrawal, other than those detailed within this website, will be offered.

Where financial rewards are paid to Norstatpanel members and such rewards may be subject to taxation, all costs and administration relating to such taxation is the sole responsibility of the registered Norstatpanel member who receives such rewards. Acceptance of these Terms, and continued participation in research surveys for which rewards are paid to the registered Norstatpanel member, constitutes acceptance of all taxation liabilities on the part of the registered Norstatpanel member. As such, Norstat will not be held liable for any taxation, or related administrative costs, resultant from the payment of rewards to Norstatpanel members.

Please note that Norstat is not responsible for customer service related to purchased items like gift vouchers. In the event of any issue or question regarding a gift voucher obtained from the Norstat Store, the user should get in touch with the vendor or the appropriate customer service representative associated with the specific item directly. They will be able to assist with any inquiries or resolve any problem that may arise.

Travel Ticket Lottery

As a member of the Norstatpanel you are also part of our quarterly travel ticket lottery. You collect lottery tickets each time you complete a survey and members from all our panels will be entered into the draw.

The draws take place at the beginning of March, June, September and December and the results will be posted on the website within a week of the draw taking place.

Confidentiality

Your Personal Information

Your personal information, or any data collected about you, will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules, including those governing privacy and data protection. Our Privacy Policy outline how we handle the information we collect when you join our Panel, participate in surveys opportunities and research activities, or use our website or our mobile application. As part of this undertaking, we promise that: 

• We will not pass your personal information to any third parties for marketing or sales purposes. 
• We will not try to sell you anything. 
• We will process your individual responses to surveys in a manner that ensures appropriate privacy and security and will only be used grouped with other confidential responses. In surveys that would like to use your personal data, consent will be asked at the time and for that study only. 
• There will be no impact on your Norstatpanel membership should you refuse to answer a question in a survey you have been invited to or your refusal to take part in a survey. 
• You can ask to be removed from the Panel and end your membership at any time. This can be done via the process described under the Termination/Inactivation of Membership section.

Research Opportunities

As a participant in market research studies, you may be asked to review “Confidential Information”. This Confidential Information could include but is not limited to: new concepts, products and packaging that are still in development or not yet launched and, as such, not known to the public. As well as certain non-public, confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information or content/material that are the sole and exclusive property of Norstat and/or Norstat’s relevant clients, including, without limitation, information with respect to the client products.

By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree: 

• To protect the secrecy and confidentiality of all Confidential Information that you may be exposed to. 
• Not to modify, copy, print, store, reproduce, republish forward, distribute, alter, reverse engineer the Confidential Information that you may be exposed to. Not to disclose, to anyone, by any means, the Confidential Information you may be exposed to, Not to use the Confidential Information for other purpose than the purpose it was disclosed to you. 
• And to acknowledge that Confidential Information is protected and is subject to regulations, laws, and intellectual property rights and ownership.

Copyright

No permission to copy, reproduce, modify, or download this website (or any part of it) is given other than a single copy for personal use or reference. 

No permission to copy, reproduce, modify, or download content which appears in any material provided to a user of this website or any surveys provided by Norstat, whether as a result of membership of Norstatpanel or otherwise, is given other than a single copy for personal use or reference. Any reproduction or transmission of website or survey content by whatever means, and irrespective of whether that material is hosted by Norstat, or our partners and clients, may result in the instant removal of a Norstatpanel member account found to be reproducing or transmitting such content.

Trademarks

All trademarks used on this website belong to Norstat or the registered proprietor of such trademarks. All rights relating to such trademarks, copyright, and any other intellectual property rights are reserved for Norstat or the organisation contributing the relevant materials.

Third Party Content

Any third-party software which may be downloaded from a website operated by a third party (whether referred to on, or linked to, this website) is the responsibility of that party and not of Norstat who shall have no responsibility or liability arising in respect of any loss, damage, viruses, or otherwise arising as a result of the downloading by you of such software.

Ending Your Membership / Inactivity / Termination of Membership

Ending Your Membership

You may close your account (unsubscribe) at any time. You can do this by clicking on the appropriate link within your online Panel account dashboard or via clicking the corresponding link in any survey invitation received from us. If you experience any problems unsubscribing your account, please contact our support team on [email protected] or [email protected], who will deal with your query as soon as reasonably possible.

You should redeem your coins prior to requesting to end your Norstatpanel account, otherwise you'll forfeit the remaining coins once the account is removed. 

Please note that it may take up to 48 hours to fully process your request and remove your contact information from all of our systems, so you may still receive occasional communication from us during this time.

Inactive Accounts

Where a Norstatpanel member has been inactive for a period of 6 months, their outstanding account balance will be automatically forfeited and will stop receiving survey invitations. Subsequent re-engagement with any member who has been inactive for a period of 6 months or more will not result in re-instatement of any previously forfeited rewards.

Inactivity is defined as: no response to any survey invitations sent, irrespective of method, and no record of successful login to the member’s account via this website.

Termination

We reserve the right to Terminate a Norstatpanel member’s account at any time. All rewards associated with such accounts, whether already accrued or pending award, are automatically forfeited at the point that those accounts are terminated. Similarly, any withdrawal requests that are yet to be processed will be cancelled and those rewards forfeited at the point that the Norstatpanel account is terminated.
